KEDAH lifted the Malaysian Super League title after defeating Brunei’s DPMM FC 1-0 at the Negara Hasanal Bolkiah Stadium last night.
K. Soley’s 14th minute strike was enough for Kedah to claim their first league title since 1993.
Going into their last league match with a two-point advantage over second placed Perak, the Kedah players rose to the occasion to subdue the Brunei side in the tough away game.
DPMM created several goal scoring chances especially in the second half but the Kedah defence stood firm till the final whistle.
